Blackrock Health and Fitness
At Blackrock Health and Fitness, we value every member and aim to create a safe, supportive, and motivating training environment. Please read the following Terms and Conditions carefully, as they form the basis of all memberships, class packages, and services.
1. Memberships and Packages
- All memberships and packages are personal to the individual and non-transferable.
- One membership per person only.
- Class packages expire after 28 days from the date of purchase — use them or lose them.
- All sessions must be used within the valid time period. Unused sessions cannot be carried forward.
- Memberships are active for 12 months from the date of joining unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. Membership Pauses
- Members may request one membership pause of up to two weeks during any 12-month period.
- This pause must be requested in advance and in writing(email or form submission).
- Memberships will not be paused for longer than two weeks under any circumstances unless due to medical reasons (see section 4).
- Additional pause requests outside these terms may result in membership fees continuing as normal.
3. Cancellation Policy
- A 30-day notice period is required for all membership cancellations.
- Cancellations must be made in writing (email or written notice at reception).
- Sessions and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- No refunds or credits are given for missed or unused sessions.
- Direct debit payments will continue during the notice period and cannot be refunded once processed.
4. Medical and Special Circumstances
Memberships may be paused or cancelled without penalty if a member:
- Is unable to train due to serious illness or injury(medical note may be required).
- Is pregnant and wishes to pause or cancel membership.
Blackrock Health and Fitness reserves the right to request supporting documentation for medical suspensions.
5. Refund Policy
- All payments are final. No refunds are provided for missed classes, non-attendance, or change of mind.
- Refunds may only be issued if Blackrock Health and Fitness is unable to deliver the service purchased due to closure or other operational issues.
6. Behaviour and Conduct
- Members are expected to behave respectfully towards staff and other members at all times.
- Any abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate behaviour may result in immediate suspension or cancellation of membership without refund.
- Equipment must be used responsibly and returned after use.
7. Health and Safety
- All members train at their own risk and should seek medical advice before starting any fitness programme.
- Members must inform trainers of any medical conditions, injuries, or limitations before participating in classes or sessions.
- Blackrock Health and Fitness is not liable for injuries or accidents that occur as a result of unsafe use of equipment or failure to follow instructions.
8. Schedule and Service Changes
- Class timetables, opening hours, and services may be adjusted at any time to ensure quality and operational efficiency.
- Members will be informed of significant schedule changes via email, text, or social media.
9. Data Protection (GDPR)
- Personal information provided to Blackrock Health and Fitness is kept secure and used only for membership management and communication.
- We never share or sell personal data to third parties without consent.
- Members may request access or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting management.
10. Agreement
By purchasing a membership, package, or booking a class with Blackrock Health and Fitness, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
